Welcome to the high, mountain-rimmed San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado. We are a certified organic, family owned ranch that has been in operation since 1897. We are deeply committed to sustainable ranching and farming based on our values: increasing the biodiversity of our land, providing wholesome food at an affordable price, and raising our animals in a humane and loving manner.
We holistically manage our cattle grazing, to restore the health of our native meadows and rangelands. Our cattle are never confined, never fed grain or animal by-products, and never given hormones. They spend their entire lives here in the valley as cattle were meant to, moving as a herd over the land.
We carefully select our beef herd for tenderness and marbling. The cattle that we finish here produce the most natural, healthful, and flavorful beef that you can find. We are glad to host family, friends, neighbors, apprentices, and customers who share our passion for this way of life. We are proud of our land and proud of the animals we raise.
